Types of personal care services we offer but are not limited to

PERSONAL care

Our team will help the individual with personal hygiene – bathing, showering, washing their hair, cleaning nails and feet, oral hygiene, and toilet visits.

ADMINISTRATION of medicines

If a service user is having help with their medicines, the carer is helping them take the medicine. There are 6 different ways of administrating medicine:

  • Orally – intaking the medicine through swallowing
  • Rectal – which is more common for people who can’t swallow but as a suppository
  • Inhalation which is taking the medicine as an aerosol spray, powder, or mist – such as an inhaler for asthma
  • Nebulization – where the medicine is resembles a very fine mist and is similar to inhalation
  • Transdermal – which is similar to a patch that has been mixed with a chemical to enter the body and bloodstream without breaking the skin
  • Injection – which is where the medicine is syringed into the body from 4 different spots: intrathecal (into the spine), subcutaneous (under the skin), intravenous (into a vein) and intramuscular (into a muscle).

PREPARATION of meals

Our staff can prepare meals which can range from heating a meal to cooking from scratch. We cater to various dietary choices and requirements. Through collaboration with the client and their families, our team will help plan meals, and shopping lists and buy ingredients, serve and cook scrumptious food at the service user’s home.
